FIELD TRIPS/Kimber

As of mid February, Emmie is now being home-schooled.  After a lot of fasting and prayer, Trav and I knew that pulling Emmie from public school was what she needed.  We don't have any one specific reason, just lots of concerns and worries.  She will attend the Kimber Academy Tuesdays through Thursdays from 8-12 where she will have her core classes which include religious studies, history, science, math and language arts.  It has been quite the adjustment but we have seen small little miracles since the change.  Trav and I absolutely LOVE the time we have with her, our relationships have just grown immensely and we've seen a spark in Emmie that wasn't quite there before.  I know we will have bumps along the way and this journey will be a whole new learning experience for us all but we are truly grateful for the Lords hand in our lives and for answered prayers.
Anyways Emmie has had quite the opportunity for learning so far.  She was able to attend the Mummies of the world exhibit at the Leonardo in Utah (with the Young family).  For school she also made a Title of Liberty but also added a scripture she chose from the Doctrine & Covenants.  Another awesome thing is that she has finished reading the Book of Mormon (for the second time) and it's wonderful to see the spirit and joy that she is experiencing.
